Gatefold cards

I made these today during the downtime for my work training.  They are very easy and only take a few minutes each.

Cut a 8.5 x 5.5 piece of cardstock.  With the long side horizontal, score vertical lines at 2 1/8″ from the left and from the right.  Fold panels inward to create your “gate”.

Inside:  Cut a 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 piece of coordinating cardstock.  Cut another piece of white/off white at 3 5/x 4 7/8.  Adhere white to dark, then adhere to the inside center of the card. (see pics)

Add embellishments.  For the front, tape only the left or the right half of the embellishment to either side of the gate (so that the card is not sealed shut)

Add embellishments inside and out.  For more punch, add a piece of coordinating cardstock to the envelope, too.

Mini Notebooks

I really enjoy making these mini notebooks. They contain approx. 50 of the 3 x 5 index cards. Great to keep in your purse or backpack. They even look nice on a desk. 50 ea 3 x 5 notecards, 2 3.5 x 5.5 chipboard. Cover chipboard. Add embellies, bind, add ribbon and that’s it! More pics on my facebook page. Click over to the right ——–)
