Print and Cut Alignment Troubleshooting Guide

Anyone having trouble with some white space around your images for print and cut with Make The Cut?  Here is a detailed checklist on how to align and adjust your printer and/or your Cricut.

Enjoy! …. and lets see your projects!

Gatefold cards

I made these today during the downtime for my work training.  They are very easy and only take a few minutes each.

Cut a 8.5 x 5.5 piece of cardstock.  With the long side horizontal, score vertical lines at 2 1/8″ from the left and from the right.  Fold panels inward to create your “gate”.

Inside:  Cut a 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 piece of coordinating cardstock.  Cut another piece of white/off white at 3 5/x 4 7/8.  Adhere white to dark, then adhere to the inside center of the card. (see pics)

Add embellishments.  For the front, tape only the left or the right half of the embellishment to either side of the gate (so that the card is not sealed shut)

Add embellishments inside and out.  For more punch, add a piece of coordinating cardstock to the envelope, too.

Mini Notebooks

I really enjoy making these mini notebooks. They contain approx. 50 of the 3 x 5 index cards. Great to keep in your purse or backpack. They even look nice on a desk. 50 ea 3 x 5 notecards, 2 3.5 x 5.5 chipboard. Cover chipboard. Add embellies, bind, add ribbon and that’s it! More pics on my facebook page. Retro Vibe Owl Mini Album

Made in a day, can you believe it?  What’s the secret?  Cutting out all of your page forms and tags, frames, etc. at once.  This was the easiest album I’ve ever done, but one of the cutest.

(NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIBERS, to participate in the challenge, you’ll need to upload to our facebook page, Creating With Scrapbooks. Thanks! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Creating-With-Scrapbooks/149512195072384?ref=ts )

Here’s the video, pics are below:

I used Make The Cut software to cut out the rounded pages, as well as all of the tags and frames.  This makes it super easy to just be creative with your embellies and journaling, tags, etc. because all the “basics” are there.

This album is for sale on ebay (Aug 31, 2010) and I’ve included links to both my videos and pics below.  Enjoy, and feel free to scraplift what you like 🙂
